How Nurseplus Champs Mental Health: Our Ongoing Journey Towards Wellbeing

The celebration of World Mental Health Day allows us to take a closer look at the value of mental health in all our lives, and particularly in the workplace.

Here at Nurseplus, we're fully aware of the crucial role mental well-being plays in the overall performance, joy, and health of our staff. As such, we are always working to create a nurturing working environment that is dedicated to enhancing mental health and well-being across our teams.

Here's a look at how we champion mental health at Nurseplus:

As a network that includes both recruitment and support staff as well as carers, nurses, and trainers, we have to be sure that our mental health support is accessible and tailored to every role and person. With this in mind, we have worked to develop dedicated resources that every member of Nurseplus staff can access with ease.

This includes in-person support for our network staff, online access to mental health professionals, and charity-run resources for our care teams. We are confident we've covered all bases when it comes to the mental well-being of our teams.

Mental Health First Aiders: Your Go-To Support System for Mental Wellbeing

Nurseplus are aware that mental health challenges can often crop up unexpectedly. For this reason, we took the initiative to form a dedicated Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) team who are accessible to the entire network. Just like their physical first aid counterparts, these trained individuals are ready to offer immediate comfort to those facing mental health struggles. From anxiety and depression to stress, or other emotional hurdles, our Mental Health First Aiders are in place to offer support, guidance, and advice as and when it is needed.

Our MHFAs are, what we believe to be an essential asset, ready to offer a sympathetic ear and guide colleagues to find the help they need. Since this team have been put in place, Nurseplus has developed an atmosphere where everyone can feel secure discussing their mental health without judgment. Whether a colleague has a concern to discuss or seeks advice, our Mental Health First Aiders stand strong and ready to help.

Medicash Benefits App: Your Personal Mental Health Support System

With Nurseplus, every staff member is given access to useful online resources with the Medicash App. Having help and support at your fingertips means you can find practical support for mental well-being when you need it most.
