There's no place like home, Live-in care offers a practical and affordable alternative.
The thought of Live-in care can be a little daunting, so let us take you through it step by step. Live-in care gives you the opportunity to continue living independently in the comfort and safety of your own home but gives you peace of mind that there is always a familiar face around to help you whenever you need it.
One of our dedicated Live-in carers will live with you in your home to provide care and companionship in accordance with your needs, preferences and wishes. We will work with you to build a regular team of DCPs who will work on rotation which could be anything from 2-12 weeks to allow them some time to rest so that they are able to give you the highest quality of care. The length of time between rotations will be discussed and arranged following a discussion with you and your DCPs in order to come to the best solution that suits your needs.
It's important to remember that Live-in care is not the same as 24-hour care; your DCP will be on standby overnight should you need them but their routine will mirror yours in order to accommodate your needs. If you feel that you need care throughout the night regularly, we can provide you with an additional DCP who will be able to assist you overnight whilst your Live-in carer sleeps.
Live-in care is a practical and affordable alternative to moving into a residential home, but it doesn’t always need to be a long-term option. You can use Live-in care as a short-term solution. If you have recently been discharged from the hospital we can offer a little extra support whilst you recover and regain your independence.
As with all the services we offer, we know that one size does not fit all when it comes to care so our dedicated live-in care team will work closely with you and your loved ones to get every aspect of your package just right. We take the time to get to know you and the way you want to live your life to ensure we can help you to continue doing all the things you love such as staying active, socialising or cooking your favourite meal.
We realise that letting someone live in your home is a big step, so whilst our biggest priority is making sure the right medical support is in place, we don’t underestimate the importance of connecting with your team on a social level. That’s why we handpick your DCP just for you based on shared likes and interests so that you both enjoy your time spent together. Your DCP won’t only be on hand to provide you with care and support around the house whenever you need it; they are also there to offer companionship and prevent loneliness, something you can’t always guarantee in a busy residential home.
The cost of Live-in care is determined solely on your needs and the level of care you require. This is why we take a comprehensive and personal approach in assessing your needs and where you require specialist attention. Our Live-in care packages are tailored to your individual needs and preferences; our friendly team will put together an all-inclusive rate just for you.
We can provide a variety of live-in support, including but not limited to:
- Household and lifestyle management

What you will need to provide for your Live-in Care Professional
You will need to provide your Live in carer with a spare room so they have their own space for breaks and to sleep. Your DCP will also need internet access so they are able to keep your care team updated regularly and arrange any extra support you may require. Your DCP will also require a 2 hour break during any 24-hour period; we will work with you to determine to find a time that best suits you and your needs. If you are worried about not receiving care during this break, we can help to provide regular cover for your DCP.
