What You’ll Do

As the Quality Development Lead you will be responsible for promoting a culture of excellence and compliance within Nurseplus. This will involve conducting regular policy reviews, leading customer and carer surveys, analysing governance data, and ensuring that the organisation adheres to industry regulations and best practices. The role will play a key part in driving continuous improvement initiatives across all aspects of care delivery across Nurseplus.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Policy and Procedure Reviews
    • Lead regular reviews of organisational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
    • Recommend updates or changes to policies as needed, ensuring that they reflect the needs of service users and care standards.
  2. Customer and Carer Surveys
    • Design, implement, and manage regular surveys for service users, carers, and families to assess satisfaction, identify concerns, and gather feedback on care quality.
    • Analyse survey results, identify trends, and produce actionable insights to inform service improvements.
    • Develop strategies to enhance customer and carer engagement and ensure their voices are central to the quality development process.
  3. Good Governance and Data Analysis
    • Collect, analyse, and interpret governance data, including regulatory inspections, audits, and performance metrics.
    • Prepare reports for senior management, highlighting key areas of concern, trends, and opportunities for improvement.
    • Monitor and track progress on key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend actions to address areas where performance is below expectations.
  4. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    • Work with operational teams to drive quality improvement initiatives, ensuring they are aligned with organisational goals and service user needs.
    • Promote a culture of learning and development through staff training, coaching, and support to improve service delivery.
    • Ensure that any incidents, complaints, or feedback are reviewed, investigated, and acted upon in a timely manner, with outcomes shared with relevant stakeholders.
  5. Reporting and Documentation
    • Produce clear and accurate reports on quality assurance activities, including policy updates, survey results, and governance data, to support decision-making at all levels of the organisation.
    • Maintain records of quality assessments, audits, and improvement initiatives, ensuring they are easily accessible for internal and external review.
  6. Compliance and Regulation
    • Ensure that all quality development activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including CQC (Care Quality Commission) requirements or equivalent in your region.
    • Support preparations for inspections and audits by ensuring the organisation’s documentation and practices are up to date and in compliance.

Key Requirements

  • Experience & Qualifications:
    • Proven experience in a quality assurance, governance, or compliance role, preferably within the care sector with knowledge of working with regulatory frameworks (e.g. CQC, CIW etc.).
    • Experience in data analysis, policy development, and the ability to translate data into meaningful insights for continuous improvement.
  • Skills & Competencies:
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and produce actionable reports.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.
    • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
    • Strong organisational  skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
