Nurses from Nurseplus Liverpool share their stories

Chris Smith, our Nurseplus Liverpool Branch Manager has been chatting with two of his Nurses, about why they chose agency work and Nurseplus.

Adedoyin

Ade began her life as a Nurse in 1985, her Mother was the Director of Public Health back home in Nigeria and she was her main motivation to become a Nurse. Ade loves to care for people so knew this was the right career choice for her; she loves everything about it form the uniform to the thought of Nursing people back to health.

Ade likes looking after people seeing them get back on their feet and even if the worst comes to worst she knows that someone who has loved and cared for them has seen them through to the very end holding their hand through the process.

Ade has had permanent jobs in the past that had no flexibility. Since Ade joined Nurseplus, she is able to work shifts that fit in around her family commitments to both her children and grandchildren. 

"Since joining Nurseplus there has been not a single moment of regret of leaving my permanent position. I always feel part of the team and am supported at all times by the manager and all the staff in the office.  I know they will always stand by me even in hard times. I like having regular contact with the staff in the office and on my placements, I am able to build a relationship and we understand each other's requirements."  Ade Olla.

Nicola

Nicola started working in care at the age of 17, a natural progression saw her venture into Nursing as Nicola loves looking after people, comforting and reassuring them through difficult times.

Nicola enjoys the freedom and flexibility of working with an agency but also likes to meet new people and face new challenges working in new places brings.

Joining Nurseplus was an obvious choice for Nicola as she has worked with the manager previously and found him honest, trustworthy and passionate and that rubs off on her. She feels she has the support of the manager at all times.

Nicola commented "I like to have face to face contact as I like to see the whites of your eyes, the relationship built will outlast anything you can get from an app. The guys in the office know me and what I like and don’t like and my skills. We will often have a chat about life in general."
