Working for Nurseplus: Exploring the top benefits for agency workers
We know it takes a special kind of person to consider a career in care and thankfully our agency workers that are already working for Nurseplus are the kind of people that really enjoy making the most of their jobs in care.
But what is it that makes us stand out among other healthcare recruitment agencies?
That’s what we are here to explore today. We’ve taken some time to outline the reasons agency workers enjoy working for Nurseplus, and why we encourage people who might be thinking about choosing agency healthcare as a career to register with us.
What support do we provide for agency workers?
Our main focus is to provide all our agency workers with the ability to manage their own workload. We want to support our care staff and help them achieve their individual life goals, whatever they may be. We work hard to organise care shifts to fit around other life commitments such as further education, family life, another job, or global travel.
Nurseplus also ensure any agency workers that want to progress in their care careers have access to a wide range of care experiences so they can broaden their career goals and we also provide easy access to further training resources to support this.
Furthermore, at Nurseplus we continuously promote a positive, proud, and happy working environment so that our agency workers feel welcomed and valued in their jobs. We regularly check in with our teams to make sure they are happy with their workload, we host team meetings to build trust among colleagues and to build a caring and supportive community.
How can we help you find rewarding jobs in care?
Nurseplus offer care staffing solutions across a wide range of healthcare settings. This means we are better equipped to offer our agency workers shifts that suit their specific set of care skills.
Our unique recruitment and induction process does differ from other healthcare recruitment agencies in that we only recruit people who are truly passionate about care. It’s very important to us that all our agency workers are prepared to cover shifts that include everything from personal care, such as bathing and dressing, to supporting children with learning disabilities.
In saying this, when working for Nurseplus, we do what we can to place our agency workers in care settings that match their specific skill sets and challenge them to succeed. This is why our clients return to Nurseplus for their care staffing solutions time and time again because we provide them with staff that meet, and often exceed, their expectations.
So, does Nurseplus pay for training?
At Nurseplus we value our agency workers above all else. We care for the people that care for people and provide them with all the tools they'll need to help them grow and succeed. This in turn ensures we consistently deliver quality care staffing solutions to our clients, so they can trust their people are in good hands.
Over the years Nurseplus have worked hard on developing a comprehensive in-house healthcare training program to equip all our agency workers with the essential skills they need to deliver quality care.
The Nurseplus training program is a pivotal part of our recruitment and induction process that everyone working for Nurseplus must take part in, even those joining us in office roles and our executive team members.
So, do Nurseplus pay for training? All staff are required to attend mandatory training in their local branch. Our mandatory healthcare training will last two days for those who are new to care or one day for those with prior care experience. It is important to know that agency workers will not be paid for attending these sessions. Our comprehensive training days are run by dedicated and certified Nurseplus trainers, and agency workers will not be charged for this training. After passing the initial training, and after working for Nurseplus for at least 6 months, agency workers can then gain full access to further training online and in the workplace through our trusted providers such as Flexebee, Paragon Skills, and Crisis Prevention.
All our agency workers, branch staff, and leadership teams also have access to further learning including:
Healthcare apprenticeships with Paragon Skills
Flexible learning courses through Learning Curve
CPI Intervention Training (provided at a cost)
One of the most beneficial aspects for agency workers who chose to work for Nurseplus is that we will always actively encourage personal and professional development. By doing this we ensure we are enriching the lives of our care staff and confidently offer quality care staffing solutions to all our clients.
Does Nurseplus Sponsor Visa?
Nurseplus does not currently offer sponsorship to candidates living overseas. As a rule, healthcare recruitment agencies cannot guarantee shifts or income on an individual basis. We, therefore, do not offer our agency workers any promises that work or shifts will be guaranteed. When you register with Nurseplus it’s important to know that we cannot provide you with set shifts, nor will we be able to guarantee the days you will be working. What our teams will strive to do is meet your personal requirements and always stay in close contact with you to notify you of up-and-coming work opportunities.
For this reason, we also do not recommend agency workers relocate to a new area to find work. This is because consistent work in that area could be temporary and may not guarantee you a regular income.
How does agency healthcare differ?
Agency healthcare can be an excellent choice to help support a person's overall career goals, in care or recruitment, and bolster their life and work experiences.
We offer agency workers jobs in care that will take them into all sorts of healthcare settings giving them a chance to gain valuable experience in a variety of healthcare fields. Nurseplus promise to provide flexible care staffing solutions to a range of healthcare providers. With this in mind, our focus is to only recruit people who are flexible, driven, and passionate about delivering excellent standards of care.
Choosing agency healthcare can financially support you on the road to achieving personal and professional life goals with flexible work. We have a number of agency workers who have chosen to work with Nurseplus to:
