A Life Saved: Recognising Our Dedication to Exceptional Training at Nurseplus
In the world of healthcare, the importance of rigorous training cannot be overstated. At Nurseplus, our commitment to providing person-centered healthcare training is at the core of our values.
Today we have the pleasure of shining the spotlight on Michaela Poile, a dedicated Nurseplus trainer in the Basingstoke area, whose exceptional efforts have not only impressed her team but have also played a pivotal role in saving a life. We asked her line manager and Regional Training Lead, Gemma Peadon, to tell us more about how Michaela’s training empowered a carer to act with confidence in a critical situation which ultimately saved the life of a person in need.
“Recently, I had the privilege of sitting down with Michaela for her one-on-one. After chatting Michaela told me of a remarkable incident that she learned during one of her 1-year training update sessions. Michaela told me that one of the care professionals she had trained expressed gratitude for the CPR training she had received in her initial mandatory Nurseplus training. What followed was a gripping account of how the carer had applied what she had learned in a real-life emergency, which resulted in the care professional saving a life.
This particular care professional went on to recount an incident to Michaela where they were able to take swift action to perform CPR whilst another person present dialled the emergency services. The carer was able to remain calm and perform effective CPR until emergency personnel arrived.”
We were very pleased to learn that Nurseplus’ commitment to delivering the highest standard of healthcare training, has resulted in such a positive outcome which is a testament to our values. The fact that a care professional was able to recount such a positive experience during their annual training update speaks volumes about the impact of our mandatory training efforts.
The Effects of Positivity in Action:
In healthcare, positivity isn't just about attitude; it's about tangible outcomes. Our trainer’s positive impact extends beyond the training room. The story of a care professional effectively applying CPR training in a critical situation underscores the real-world effectiveness of our training methods. This positive outcome contributes not only to a positive work environment but, more importantly, to the well-being of those who receive the training and care of all Nurseplus professionals.
Trust in Nurseplus Training:
As one of our core values, trust forms the foundation of Nurseplus’ mandatory training program. Each of our Nurseplus Trainers are entrusted with delivering content that ensures a high standard of care is provided every time by our candidates. This life-saving incident narrated by the care professional reinforces the trustworthiness and value of Nurseplus training. We are proud that our carers are confident enough to rely on the skills acquired in our training sessions and can take action during a critical emergency.
The Value of Nurseplus Mandatory Healthcare Training:
At Nurseplus, we recognise that our agency care staff play a crucial role in providing quality healthcare. The expertise of our internal training staff, exemplified by trainers like Michaela, ensures all Nurseplus care professionals are not just equipped with basic healthcare skills but are also empowered to apply them effectively in real-life situations. The true value of Nurseplus’ mandatory healthcare training is evident not just in compliance but in the tangible difference it makes in the lives of those who receive our care.
Our care professionals face different situations and settings every day, therefore adequate healthcare training is not just a requirement; it's a lifeline. Our trainers are dedicated to delivering person-centered training that goes beyond the ordinary because it can save lives.
